Halsted as a family business started in 1902 with ties to the Halsted Brothers in Zimbabwe. On 29 April 1952 the company Halsted and Company ( Pty) Ltd was formed and the first branch was opened in Welkom. Twenty years later a branch opened in Bloemfontein. Today we have additional branches in Kimberley, Upington, Rustenburg, Vryburg, Kathu,Klerksdorp, Jhb and Cape Town with a vision to open many more branches across the countryGrowing from our first delivery vehicle in Welkom which was an old black thick wheel bicycle which is still on display in Welkom, we now have a large distribution fleet servicing all areas in South Africa.
