Precast building units (PBU) was established by Brian Morris in 1987 with the intention of developing and producing precast building components for the construction industry. Their initial direction was purchasing and installing Grinaker Precast material (blocks and concrete planks).Brians brother Geoff joined in 1990 and with new enthusiasm PBU ventured into manufacturing their own material. This proved to be extremely successful and the business grew to its current size making them the largest manufacturer of prestressed beam and block slabs in Kwa-Zulu Natal.
