Dr Deseta is a qualified and experienced cardiologist practising at the Netcare Milpark Hospital in Parktown, Johannesburg. As a cardiologist, Dr Deseta is a medical doctor who specialises in the medical diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias and pacemakers, coronary artery disease, heart failure and valvular heart disease.

Dr Deseta is originally from Argentina, where he graduated as a medical doctor at the University of Buenos Aires in 1972. After relocating to South Africa in 1979, he worked as a cardiologist at Johannesburg Hospital before moving to private practice in 1985 at what is now known as the Netcare Milpark Hospital. Dr Deseta is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)(MP0204935) and is affiliated with the South African Heart Association, Cardiac Arrhythmias South Africa and the South African Medical Association.
